Please note that you may not file a Form I-130 with U.S. Embassy Seoul if you have already filed a Form I-130 with the USCIS in the U.S. for the same beneficiary.
- Urgent medical emergency
- Imminent threat to personal safety
- Aging out of eligibility
- Petitioner’s naturalization requires a new, stand-alone petition
- Certain adopted children
- New transfer with very little notice (Temporarily suspended: Due to limited appointment availability and a backlog of immigrant visa applications created by the COVID-19 pandemic.)
Note: If your request for exceptional situation is not authorized by USCIS, then you must file the petition with the USCIS Dallas Lockbox.
