The Interview

Once the petition is approved by the USCIS, the approved petition will be forwarded to the Immigrant Visa Unit of the U.S. Embassy in Seoul through the National Visa Center.  After you have received the Instruction Package via email from the Immigrant Visa Unit, you must schedule your interview appointment through the U.S. Visa Information Service on www.ustraveldocs.com/kr or by calling the call center representative.

You may schedule your appointment after you pay the non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee in cash at any Citibank branch in Korea.  Before going to Citibank, print the applicable U.S. visa fee deposit slip.  Take the printed deposit slip with you to pay your fee.  Citibank will issue you a receipt upon payment.  Save your receipt.  It cannot be replaced if it is lost.  You will need to submit this receipt to the Embassy at the interview.  You can learn more about the MRV application Fee on usvisas.state.gov.

If your bank supports electronic funds transfers (EFT), you may also pay your MRV application fee with an EFT directly from your bank account.  You can learn more about the electronic funds transfers (EFT) on U.S. Visa Information Service on www.ustraveldocs.com/kr.

You must submit the Online Non-immigrant Visa Application (DS-160) before the visa interview, and bring the forms and documents listed in the Instruction Package to the visa interview.
