Fees:
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad: $100
- Notarial Service: $50 per notary seal
- Passports:
- Adult Passport Book (First Time Applicants):$165
- Adult Passport Book (Renewals):$130
- Adult Passport Book (Lost/Stolen/Damaged):$165
- All Minor Applicants (Age 15 and under):$135
- Passport Card: Please visit the Department of States website
Payment methods accepted at the U.S. Embassy Seoul:
- International credit cards – We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and American Express cards. The applicant can use a credit card in his/her name or a credit card of the person accompanying the applicant to the Embassy.
- Cash – U.S. dollars or Korean won at the Embassy’s exchange rate. Please note that the exchange rate may change at the time of payment as posted by the U.S. Department of State.
When paying in cash, we kindly request that you bring the exact amount. - USPS Domestic Money Orders (but not USPS International Money Orders)
- International Money Orders from banks in Korea (Note: If one or more of these following requirements have not been met, the application and money order will be returned to you without notice.)
- There must be a barcode in the bottom of the money order.
- There must be bank information (or address) on the money order.
- Money orders must be made payable to “CASHIER FMC U.S. EMBASSY SEOUL” in the exact amount in U.S. dollars. (Overnight delivery and expedite service options are not available for applicants outside the United States.)
- Applicant’s name and local (Korean) phone number must be written on the back of the money order.
- The money order must be issued within the last six months
- It is not mandatory that the money order is issued under the applicant’s name. You may ask someone else to have a money order issued on your behalf.
Payment methods accepted via Courier Service (Ilyang) :
- Pay.gov via the U.S. government’s secure payment site. After successfully paying the fee, you must print out the electronic payment confirmation you receive via email and include it in the package you send to the Embassy.
- International Money Orders from banks in Korea (Note: If one or more of these following requirements listed have not been met, the application and money order will be returned to you without notice.)
- USPS Domestic Money Orders (but not USPS International Money Orders) This option is available to those with access to USFK installation.
- There must be a barcode/numeric code in the bottom of the money order.
- There must be bank information (or address) on the money order.
- Money orders must be made payable to “CASHIER FMC U.S. EMBASSY SEOUL” in the exact amount in U.S. dollars.(Overnight delivery and expedite service options are not available for applicants outside the United States.)
- Your name and local (Korean) phone number must be written on the back of the money order.

Examples of International Money Orders
Please do not staple the money order to any document. A staple removed can affect the proper processing of a money order.
