On September 20, Consul Nolan Barkhouse visited the office of Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), Asia’s largest non-competitive film festival, and paid a courtesy call on Festival Director Huh Moon-young and Asian Contents & Film Market Director Oh Seok-geun. Both sides agreed that there are many opportunities to expand cooperation between the Busan Film Festival and the American film industry. Consul Barkhouse and the BIFF directors also discussed commercial opportunities related to the first year of operation for Busan Story Market, where film and audiovisual adaptations of original IP are transacted. Consul Barkhouse offered his best wishes for a successful film festival and opening ceremony starting on October 5.
