Students listen intently as Dae Kim speaks

On June 15,  Consul Dae B. Kim gave a lecture on “U.S. Democracy” to more than 500 students at the Gyeongnam Foreign Language High School.  Borrowing Lincoln’s famous words from the Gettysburg Address, Dae Kim began by describing democracy as “government of the people, by the people and for the people.”  He explained the intent of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, as well as basic human rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
