U.S. Speaker Headlines Security Conference

On June 9, Professor Bernard Rowan of Chicago State University, visiting Korea under the auspices of Consulate Busan, spoke on “Prospects for Korean Unification” at an international conference of the Korean Association of Area Studies (KAAS), held at Dong-A University in Busan.  Around 100 professors, students and distinguished guests, including Korean Ambassador for North Korean human rights, former Korean Minister of Unification, and a representative from Office of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, participated in the conference.  Regional Program Officer Garrett Wilkerson from Embassy Seoul was a discussant on the panel covering Professor Rowan’s presentation.
