On June 2, Consul Dae Kim attended a solemn ceremony at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK) honoring American veterans of the Korean War. A special guest at the ceremony was a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and a 1949 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy who flew fighters during the Korean War in 1951-1952. Thirty of his classmates were either killed in action or died of wounds received in action during the war. Tim and Monika Stoy, retired U.S. Army officers and military historians, organized this annual ceremony in coordination with UNMCK. They presented Dae Kim a Certificate of Appreciation for his support in the last three years.
