Dan Gedacht Explains Diplomat’s Life to Eighth Graders

Daniel Gedacht, currently a Korean language student at FSI Seoul, visited Busan April 4-6 for a foretaste of the city and the Consulate.   Mr. Gedacht toured and consulted with officials at the Busan American Corner, United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK), Busan Modern History Museum, and several other museums in Busan and Gimhae. Mr. Gedacht also gave a special lecture in Korean to thirty 8th graders at the Isabel Middle School on the life of a diplomat and shared his experiences from the countries he served as an American diplomat.  The students listened with rapt attention, and a lively Q & A session ensued.  Mr. Gedacht will replace Consul Dae B. Kim this summer as the Consul of Consulate Busan.
