The U.S. Consulate in Busan, South Korea, promotes close ties between the United States and people in Busan and its surrounding areas.  Specifically, its mission includes the following:

  • Build bridges of greater mutual understanding and friendship between the United States and the metropolitan cities of Busan, Daegu, and Ulsan, and the Gyeongsang North, Gyeongsang South, and Jeju provinces
  • Support U.S. businesses in and around Busan or those interested in doing business in the region
  • Facilitate the greater missions of the U.S. Embassy to Korea within the Consulate district

The U.S. Consulate in Busan is located on the 6th floor of the Lotte Gold Rose Building (also known as the Job Center Building), next to the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency and Busan Metropolitan City Hall.

  • Routine Office Hours: 08:30 – 12:30, 13:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday

The Consulate is closed for routine services on weekends and on both American and Korean holidays.  For after-hour emergency service, please contact the Embassy Duty Officer at (02) 397-4114.
